Achievements ensure that one is progressing through phases of personal development to fit roles within organisation. It also indicates higher levels of productivity which ensures future prospects or capability to fill future vacancies within organisation.     
Question 3: Explain what professional development means. If you identify technical and/or interpersonal skills gaps, what actions might you take to close the gaps?
Professional development indicates learning in order to preserve professional credentials as academic degrees or other coursework’s, informal learning, conferences for earning or career development. It is a collaborative and intensive practice including an evaluating stage. Professional development can be undertaken in a number of methods as lesson study, communities of practice, coaching, consultation, reflective supervision, mentoring and technical assistance.   
In order to close skill gaps related to technical or interpersonal skills there needs to obtained training. Professional development or training related to such gaps developed in course of technical skills can be very useful. On the other hand, development of interpersonal skills can be developed by means of going through self-help books, course materials and other study materials.

Business technology can substantially enhance performance for professional development. Feedback related to an external supplier might be related to quality of goods, time delays, other issues with products. On the contrary feedback from member of work group can be related to targeted performance requirements, goals, objectives or strategies and other management decisions.
The quality of feedback will be dependent on goods delivered or performance delivered. Feedback from suppliers will be used to assess skill gap pertaining to quality of services provided or time delays. It will indicate that my performance is not matching supplier expectation and causing delays. Feedback from work group indicates performance levels with respect to the team. Such feedback reflects skill gaps pertaining communication, lack of professional skills and lack of knowledge of deliverable as per goals within organisational framework.       
Question 6: Why is it important for you to take responsibility for your own work tasks ans ensure that you are getting feedback to fulfil your role?
Every individual has certain designated roles within the organisation, which in turn allows to meet organisational goals. For every task given to individual it becomes critical to take responsibility, catering to a role according to such allows attaining objectives. It is extremely critical to take responsibilities of assigned tasks to create positive impact on team and creating deadlines or expectations that can be matched. Challenges pertaining to projects can be avoided substantially in case individuals take responsibility within their roles. It create an ambience of trust and engagement amongst employees initiating dependence. Work advice and instructions can be given from an  individual who can bear responsibility well. Such an attitude ensures feedback in acted upon and there is a positive ambience in work environment.

Self-assessment or self-reflection is critical to make any type of progress in professional field. Initiating self-assessment is not an easy task but processes to ensure that such endeavour is created includes maintaining a personal journal to note various points regarding self-development over a period of time. Updating that journal on a regular basis ensures that all possible developments takes place, one is easily able to reflect on mistakes from the past and steps to overcome the same. Maintaining reflection journal and obtaining feedback from peers through application of Johari Window is another technique that can allow overcoming of challenges related to self. Johari Window includes four pertinent areas for reflection, one that is known to self, one that is unknown from self, one that is known to others and blind areas. Feedback from peers can also acted as an integral process in self- assessment.

Every organisation has set standards for work as KPI (Key Performance Indicator) scores and so on. Each individual within the team is designated certain roles and responsibilities with objectives. Meeting those objectives with appropriate KPI score will ensure that work is progressing according to set standards and deadlines as provided by the organisation will ensure.

In case priorities change over a period of time or I am not able to meet work plan then I will revisit my work plans. I will analyse all possible gaps due to which I was not able to accomplish goals and objectives, then I will redesign my plans and improvise on myself. I will also aim to take up meditation to be able to concentrate more on job related activities. I will try and concentrate on facts that have let me down on not meeting objectives and then aim at overcoming the same.  

How should you review your work performance to ensure that you are meeting organisational requirements?

Work performances needs to be reviewed periodically to ensure that organisational requirements are met appropriately. In revision of work performances it has to be ascertained that all work related objectives are met and that schedules are not delayed. Further in meeting deadlines, all possible challenges in regards to work performances can be overcome.   

What procedures should you follow to assess your own learning needs as part of a continuous learning and improvement process?

In order to ensure continuous learning and improvement processes procedures needs to be followed. Procedures to be followed should include learning from industry related case studies, learning through personal reflection journals, learning from the internet, books and any other sources present. I will also intend to learn from my seniors and colleagues who are present in the organisation for longer periods before me. I will also maintain reflection journal to chart my progress for improvement planning.

Technology can be extremely useful in the process of assistance in planning and monitoring of work and work of others. There are various performance indicator related software that can be used to match performance against stet targets and measure one’s personal progress.
