Task:
Step one: Scope the needs of the assessment
Paraphrase this paragraph and use the same References or add references where indicated.
The purpose of this need’s assessment is to find meaningful employment opportunities for young people living in Carnarvon to minimise boredom leading to anti-social behaviours, break down stereotypes of at-risk youths within the community and promoting empowerment for young people building on their self-esteems surrounding positive decision making (Smart, 2019). The results of this needs assessment will be used to create an action plan to aid the creation of sustainable employment opportunities within the community for young people. The community will be involved in the needs assessment by engaging them in discussions through town meetings, surveys and community events targeted to attract local residents and businesses to come along and participate. Thus, allowing opportunities for informal discussions surrounding the community’s perspective on young people and raising awareness which can be done by having guest speakers and giving young people a platform to be heard from by the community in a safe place that is designed to be a fun and relaxing atmosphere bringing the community together to strengthen relationships. The young people in Carnarvon have identified that they feel that they are stereotyped by the community. To break down this barrier it is important to talk to the rest of the community and find out what incentives they think need to be put in place to give young people a fair go at being employed.
Step Two: Determine the assessment criteria.
Paraphrase this paragraph and use the same References or add references where indicated.
This process will look at the issues itself which is young people expressing that they feel disconnected for the community with insufficient employment opportunities (smart The long-term impact of this issue is that the young people will continue to engage in activities that are illegal such as drug use and violence impacting the futures of the young people and the safety of the community as a whole. The issue at hand is quite complex and more employment opportunities should be considered as a contribution to the problem rather than a total solution.

Step Three: Plan for data collection
Paraphrase this paragraph and use the same References or add references where indicated.
Data will need to be collected to determine how the rest of the community feels about the issues experienced by young people and how they can contribute to employment opportunities. Data should be collected from stake holders such as business owners, community organisations in the town and, the general community. Data collection should be inclusive to all members of the community and a wide range of data collecting tools should be used
Step four: Collect, analyse and present data.
Paraphrase this paragraph and use the same References or add references where indicated.
Once the plan to collect data has been established you can collect the data to be analysed. Flexibility is important and time should be allowed to prepare for situations that do not go to plan. An example of this would be having nobody show up to a meeting arranged to discuss the issues. During this phase it is important to note that new issues may be raised, and more data may need to be gathered. Once all the data is collected it should be grouped into groups of issues with similar needs. This will make the data more manageable to process. It then needs to be analysed and it should be determined how the community can take the lead in this process. The data should be presented in a way that is preferred by the community members who are invested in the future of the towns well-being and by young people who would like to have a voice for the youth in the community.
